Ryan Seacrest Gets Playful With Big Bill Page On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

Who says TV can't be fun and games? Ryan Seacrest had a blast with former pro wrestler and recent Wheel of Fortune contestant, "Big" Bill Page, giving fans a little taste of old-school wrestling action right on the show. Bill, known for his larger-than-life personality, didn't just sit back during his introduction on the Monday, March 24, episode. Instead, Ryan, 50, gave him the green light to showcase one of his favorite wrestling moves, turning the stage into a mini wrestling ring.

Big Bill Shows Off His Moves

When Ryan approached Bill, it was clear that things were about to get interesting. Bill wasted no time pulling Ryan into a headlock, slowly but surely bringing him down to the ground. The American Idol host kept his cool, even through the playful chokehold, flashing that trademark smile of his. Eventually, Ryan tapped out, proving he's not just all talk. But hey, no one's perfect, and Ryan later joked about his ruffled hair, calling it a "pet peeve." Sometimes the little things matter, right?

Bill's Winning Streak

Bill didn’t just show off his wrestling skills; he also walked away with a pretty sweet deal. He pocketed an impressive $24,600 and snagged a trip to St. Maarten. While he made it to the bonus round, he didn’t manage to complete the phrase for the grand prize, a Ford Bronco. But hey, you can't win 'em all. Bill told Wheel of Fortune social media correspondent Maggie Sajak, "It was a fantastic night. I really enjoyed it." And who wouldn’t? Bill even shared the backstory on the headlock move, saying, "They said, what kind of moves can you put on Ryan? I said, 'Well, I guess the easiest one would be a headlock.'" Classic Bill.

Ryan, the beloved TV and radio host, has been finding himself in some pretty wild situations lately. Back in February, Ryan reminisced about a December 2024 episode where he showed off his breakdancing moves. Now, we all know Ryan isn't exactly a professional dancer, but he gave it his all. "Embarrassingly, a few weeks ago, a while back, I showed off my breakdancing lack of skills," Ryan admitted alongside cohost Vanna White, before the flashback clip played. The official Wheel of Fortune Instagram account captioned the moment with, "Thanks to this honestly unscripted moment, we now keep aspirin on set!" Fans were quick to chime in, with one commenting, "He did pretty good for a 50-year-young man! Give him credit for having a great attitude." And honestly, who could blame them?

Not everyone was surprised by Ryan's antics. One fan commented, "I give him credit for making the attempt since he’s been given such a rough time since he started. I like Ryan," adding, "I think he’s a great guy and hope he continues to flourish on Wheel of Fortune." Another fan chimed in saying, "Had to lift up @ryanseacrest just like I’m gonna lift up the @americanidol hopefuls! Honored to be Idol’s first-ever ARTIST IN RESIDENCE — mentoring with heart, soul, and real experience!"

    Jelly Roll Joins the Fun

Ryan wasn't done with the fun. During a BTS scene on American Idol season 23 on February 4, superstar Jelly Roll picked Ryan up and spun him around. Ryan couldn’t help but let out a "woohoo" squeal. "You are shaping America’s future," Ryan told Jelly, 40, who replied, "I feel like I am going to give them the energy they need. I’m uplifting and trying to get ‘em going." Jelly captioned the post with, "Had to lift up @ryanseacrest just like I’m gonna lift up the @americanidol hopefuls! Honored to be Idol’s first-ever ARTIST IN RESIDENCE — mentoring with heart, soul, and real experience!"

Ryan has been the long-standing host of American Idol since its debut in 2002. In 2024, he stepped into the iconic role of hosting Wheel of Fortune, replacing the legendary Pat Sajak.
